New build family home located outside Castlebar in County Mayo. A large kitchen, dining  and living space extends to the east from the main two-storey wing of the house to maximise passive solar gains and make the most of westward views. The kitchen space affords a vaulted ceiling space with additional light from skylights.  The roof also extends past the external walls to create sheltered door thresholds to the evening and morning terraces. The clients brief included a space for a home office and space for a home gym. The garage design incorporates a carport link to the main house with the home gym located within the roof space.
